P181 Extra Brut Bio

Since 2009, the House has been committed to converting part of its vineyards to Organic Agriculture. In 2016, the P181 cuvée was born.

This cuvée is made from 9 hectares of vineyards cultivated and certified in Organic Agriculture by Ecocert.

The registered plot ZE 181, located in the heart of the commune of Verneuil, represents 7 of these 9 hectares in the final blend. The vines are grown on south-facing slopes along the Marne river. It gives its name to this emblematic cuvée.

 

The P181 cuvée combines both balance and freshness. Dosed in Extra Brut, it reveals all its aromatic potential thanks to a first fermentation of the Chardonnay grape varieties in oak barrels.

 

“I’m not looking for a woody taste, the micro-oxygenation of the barrels and the aromatic contributions of the wood enrich the wine without weighing it down. P181 is a subtle, airy and expressive champagne of the terroir” Laurent Fédou, Cellar Master.

 

To the eye, an elegant pale gold hue.

To the nose, fruit aromas such as nectarine and mandarin, pastry notes reminding of mirabelle plum pie. A beautiful tonicity and remarkable elegance.

On the palate, a great balance characterized by a great greshness of candied mandarin notes.
