The cellars
In Canard-Duchêne, all the wines have long matured in the Ludes cellars. The wines rest in the coolness of the cellars for an average of three years for the “Brut” In the classic range, five to six years for the Grande Cuvée Charles VII and seven to eight years for the vintage wines.
Dug by hand during the 19th century in the chalk subsoil of the Champagne region, the cellars are open to the public (click on « The cellars » for more details). House a stunning allegory of the history of Champagne wines and the House, created by artist Michel Le Brun.
In the Visitors’ Centre, you can also discover the six kilometres-long cellars and select various tailor-made formulas: lunch, dinner or buffet picnics in the garden, tasting...
