History

In the heart of the vineyard

Canard Duchêne VineyardThe men and women at Canard-Duchêne still show the same passion for the wine as one hundred years ago.

Our Cellar Master, Laurent Fedou, blends wines from different varieties and different “crus” in a style which is specific to the Canard-Duchêne House. With the same skills as a composer or a painter, he takes advantage of the characteristics of the three grape varieties, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay, in order to elaborate fruity, balanced and rounded wines.

The House style is derived from the power and the structure of the Pinot Noir from the Montagne de Reims, the freshness of the Pinot Noir from the Aube Region, the roundness and the fruitiness of the Pinot Meunier, the finesse and the delicacy of Chardonnay. The beautiful final balance between freshness and maturity is due to the reserve wines added in the blend.
