Canard Duchêne Rosé
Remarkable for its red fruit aromas and its elegance, this wine can be drunk as an aperitif, with red meats or slightly sweet desserts. Champagne should be drunk at temperature of 6° to 9°C.
The Blend
The Brut Rosé uses the base blend as the Brut.
The three grape varieties are selected in proportions which may vary year to year: Pinot Noir (35 to 40%) for its strength and character, Pinot Meunier (35 to 40%) for its fruit and subtlety and Chardonnay (22 to 25%) for its finesse and elegance.
The Rosé colour is obtained by adding 14% to 16% Pinot Noir from the Montagne de Reims, which has been vinified as a red wine.
Appearance
Pale salmon coloured, beautiful pearly bubbles, fine mousse.
Nose
Intense fresh fruit aromas especially of cherry, with mineral and toasted characteristics.
Palate
A powerful, full-bodied wine yet surprisingly silky because of its maturity, with flavours reminiscent of crystallised fruit.
